I ran across a Czech Mauser today in a pawn shop. It is mismatched with a laminated stock and bent bolt like a K98. No waffenampts, bore is dirty but no pitting after cleaning. I paid $85.00 otd.

What do I have and how did I do?

Is there a good Czech Mauser website out there somewhere?

I'll post some pictures when my camera battery recharges.

most likely a VZ-24 but hard to say without pictures. $85 in today's market is a good price

Just realized you said bent bolt...hmmmmm, a VZ-24 is a straight bolt unless someone did a conversion which is possible given that you also said it has a laminated stock. Guess I'll wait for the pictures

I concur with everybody else. I paid fifty bucks for a post-war Czech K98 barreled action awhile ago and thought I did good, and it didn't even have a stock or bolt.
