I posted a thread on the collectors board that maybe I should have posted here. "First full day at range with m39" I got some good replies but I think you guys may have more insight as far as the ammo question goes.
Do any of you ever experience fliers with the Czech silver tip steel core light ball?

Yep. Sure have. I have shot several thousand rounds of that stuff and have experienced fliers. Some cases of it were worse than others. The stuff is 40+ years old and from storage is just not as "fresh" plus you have to account for powder, bullet variations. This stuff was never target grade to begin with. So, any way some cases I've had had a fair amount of rounds that were flyers and other cases that had very little. Thats one of the problems with surplus ammo. When you get a case of it you can never know how good it will be.
