Admittedly, my knowledge of CZ handguns is almost nil, so have a question about rifling. Shouldn't a CZ 82 have rifling comparable to a Makarov ?
Came across one at a small show yesterday, looked decent, bore bright, but rifling appeared nearly non existent. Just a trace of what I thought should be more pronounced lands and grooves.
Shot out ?
Anyone have a good bore picture to post for my future reference ?

CZ-82s have polygonal rifling, not traditional rifling so they look like they are shot out to people that do not know that.

i have polyonal rifling in my gb steyr is accurate easy to clean hard to foul!

I have a brand new cz 83 that the buyer purchased it and traded it in right away because he didn't approve of the polygonal rifling. I jumped on this new still unfired cz 83 in 9mm mak for a used price of $220.

The cz 83 was offered in 9mm Makarov, 380acp, and 32 acp.

I have the cz 83 in 9mm mak & 380acp then the cz 82 came along in 9mm mak and I never wanted the 32acp.
The cz 82 & 83 are awesome quality pistols.

I OWN 2 CZ (VZ) 82'S IN 9X18 Makarov, they are very accurate and fun too shoot. The 9x18 is so similar looking to a .380 that by accident I ran .380 through one and bulged the barrel. I had no idea the CZ 82 came in .380, I thought a 82 was 9x18 and a 83 was .380.............. Polygonal rifling is normal for these but I have seen rifled barrels that may be replacements I think......... P.S. The plastic grips on both my 82"s cracked at the screw hole. I bought 2 pr of replacement grips and think the hole position is about 1/16th off and that's why they crack.

There's replacement rose wood grips n eBay from Thailand.
There are a few there with more soon. I contacted a seller there and he ran out. I got one pair and there awesome.

Only the cz 83 came in 380acp, 32acp & 9mm mak.

The cz 82 only came in 9mm mak.

I bought some wood grips on ebay for $50 from Thailand and one side didn't fit. There was no metal insert at the screw hole and one side cracked. I bought factory replacement grips for $25 and now I'm happy. The problem is that even the factory grips have the screw hole just a little bit off, a little mod's and it now is OK.

Next question , was it the Cz82 in the back room at a table up against the wall in the display case with glass lid , asking price $290.00 or was it the one the lady in the camo jacket was carrying around in a black case asking price $225.00?
I been visiting that show for about 16 years in a row.

Thailand has it down now they fit perfect. I ordered another set and need more rose wood grips for all my handguns.

Saturday from about 11:30 til closing time I was there.
My wife had the Cz-82 in the black case she was carrying.
I had a M44 on my shoulder the whole time.
The Cz82 in the back was the only other one I seen there.
