That is a great boat to visit. My old man was on the Aspro (SS 309), before he shipped over to the Marines. He helped arrange for my nephews scout troop to spend the night on the boat a few years back. The kids are still talking about it.

I've been up to U.S.S. Cod SS-224 quite a few times. She is a Gato-class boat, older than the Pampanito. Incredibly cramped and there is NO space that wasn't used for at least two functions, usually at the same time.
