I snagged an interesting Chilean M1895 bayonet today at the Cow Palace (San Francisco) gun show. I had been told that Steyr made some M1895 bayonets for Chile, but had never seen one (or even a picture). It has the typical Chiean crest on one ricasso, but no Krupp Steel mark. The other ricasso has the familiar Steyr trademark, except that it is enclosed in a circle. I only had time to take a couple of crude photos, but here they are.

The OEWG Steyr made M95's are harder to find than the WKC's. Usually they're mint & matching. Steyr probably contracted as well. These were probably ordered after the original German order. I just found out on this forum that the Swiss Neuhausen company made bayonets as well. Collecting since 1967, but still learning!
