Hey All - are machined cylindrical bolt handles in the transitional timeline of the evolution of the bolt handle? Or were they both used at the same time and simply mixed in and out of rotation? I recently picked up a machined version with Nagoya proofs. My matching 7th and 8th series are cast version. So maybe they are unique to early versions of the 6th series when they switched over from oval to cylindrical handles? Or perhaps they fit in a subcontractor's run? Just looking to see to see if they fit in the production run timeline or are unique to a specific production variation. Thanks!

Middle to late 6th series and early seventh are machined cylindrical bolt handle rifles. Usually accompanied by the long extractor. So yes they are transitional right after the olive style bolt handle was being phased out on Nagoya produced rifles.
