Hi Guys - I got this rifle today as payment for a small job. The guy had a C&R License and used to buy these and cut them down and make lamps out of them. Did it to about 100 rifles and found this one under his work bench - totally forgotten. What do you think of it - any value - how much should I ask for it? Thanks WM

Can't make out it's markings, but I just saw a Terni 6.5 that looked a lot like that in a local shop on consignment for $150.00. It was in a large lot of other milsurps and the prices were fair on all the ones that I was knowledgeable about so $150 probably isn't far off on that one.

You got an uncommon prize - the "first type" barrel inscription of the M 91/41 rifle, whioch still reflects the previous M 91/38 style. I think maybe about 30,000 were made in this fashion, before they changed to the more common "crown over FAT in rectangle" manufacturer marking. What is the gun's serial number on barrel and stock?

The serial number is A2799 and the number on the stock is (Y) over 5720 The action is still full of grease and the bore is in really great condition. I was expecting a sewer pipe but the bore cleaned up perfect.

It looks like this M41 has a bolt handle that is curved or bent. I've seen M41s for sale on AuctionArms and gunbroker that have straight bolt handles. What was/were the issue bolt handle shapes?
