I posted this several years ago on the collectors' forum, but the pics are long gone. This is a Nagant that was apparently captured by the Germans then again by the Americans.

I find it interesting that the typewriter used to fill out the 1945 US Army "you can keep it" certificate seems to have Cyrillic letters available?

I didn't see Cyrillic characters, I did see they made an attempt to approximate it on the paperwork though.

When I got it the certificate was folded, spindled and stuffed into the bullet pouch on the holster (how often do you get to use that word in a sentence?).
