can't hit the side of a barn

Hello all, I'm new to the forum. I have a k-98 question.I purchased a RC 243 /1940. I love this gun and the history,But at 100 yards my k-98 shoots high to the target, is this the gun , ammo or me but I must aim at least 1 inch below the target to make a hit. Any info or advice would be great. Thanks....John

From the factory they are sighted in at 200 meters so you will have to aim low if you don't want to chance out the front sight blade. If all else fails.. grip it firmly with both hands by the barrel and swing for the cheap seats.. Just kidding on the last part. : )
