Net research unavailing. Inherited from my father and for all I know, never fired. Any ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks for the tip, Franchi. Have determined upon further inspection & research that mine's a .25 (not .22) caliber, model 9-504, dated 1955... as shown by code "XI" engraved on right side of handle just rear of trigger guard. Entire Galesi line was banned from importation by US Gun Control Act of 1968.

Can't tell if grips are plastic or ivory, but do know this piece sold for $35.00 in the late Fifties (when its likely my Dad acquired it). Reports are its a pretty decent and reliable little shooter, if a real bear to disassemble.
