Was there ever a rain pattern pack for carrying the rockets?

Also, in a somewhat related question. What was the purpose of the RPG gunner's assistant? I've noticed that RPG packs come in "gunner" and "assistant" varieties.

yes... I have seen a 2 or 3 rocket rain camo pack... grey web straps

the RPG team consisted of a gunner (who carried and fired the weapon) and an assistant (acting as a 'loader', assembling rounds and loading them, possibly spotting also). the gunner backpack held 2 warheads and booster charges, and the assistant backpack 3.

i'd like to know this too, but i guess they were both in issue at the same time, or at least the strichtarn bag did not fully supersede the grey one... grey vinyl gas mask bags were it service right up until the end of the DDR.

i have a soviet RPG backpack in light tan (tropical?) webbing which i've never seen in period photos so i'd also be interested in any info on this - photo below.
