Hi guy I wanted to share my recent gunshow find, its a nice BYF 44 non-import all matching (what's there) bolt, receiver and floor plate, the barrel is unnumbered the general rough tooling marks makes me think its a late war/kriegs model, I welcome any information of course.. They did a job on the stock but I'm hoping to find a replacement. The condition is pretty nice, the bore is bright and shiny anyone have an opinion on if bluing is original? I'm also looking for a correct stock for it, the bolt is a kriegs model so in a perfect world I would like to find a kriegs stock any leads would be appreciated. If anyone has some unnumbered bands and bayonet lug shoot me a massage I would be interested in hearing what you have.

Your g-block would not reside in a K-modell stock. Don't be fooled with the round drilled holes being super late for the bolt. Commonly found on your E/140 bolt. Also, the lack of serial on the barrel is typical starting in '42... and the lathe marks are very typical and probably orig to the Aug 1944 assembly.

unfortunately a g-block byf44 would have had a serial numbered stock....so it can never be totally correct serial number matching agian. But hey, still a worthy restoration for sure! looks nice
