Hi Guys,
This is not about a Japanese rifle or pistol but about a book of Japanese history. The construction of the book is most unusual as you can see in the accompaning pictures. It is softbound but is in a protective cloth covered, cardboard case. The book cover is also cloth covered. The pages are made on thin paper and printed on one side then folded to make a two sided page. It is 6"x 8 3/8" x 1 3/16" with the case being slightly larger to accept the book.
The book looks to be printed for a hotel named FUJIYA, possibly as a souvenir. This printing was in Feb.,1964. It combines the former two books into one three book volume. It is in English with many line drawings. It is 600 pages with 889 illustrations.

JL, the Fujiya Hotel is a real classy old hotel sitting in the mountains of Hakone close-by to Mt.Fuji, the Fuji lakes, and great hot springs of the area. Built in the Meiji era and still around. Was a must stay place for overseas visitors during the old days (perhaps even now), and hence sold many souvenir items of Japanese interest to take home.

'Tis the link to the hotel website to show you what the hotel looks like.
