Is there anything in the Swede bolt that holds the safety in the off position.?My safety seems to move around too much and sometimes after i fire a round i think the bolt is locked up but its the safety flopping up just enough to catch the bolt .If i hold the safety down then the bolt opens ok . Your could try a new fitted safety or 1st , rub the safety shaft with thick grease & that may keep it from flopping around .

I think i will rub some silicone rubber on the shaft and then let it set up after sliding it back in . I wonder how hard that shaft is? I coud cut a groove in it to take a small rubber O ring .Arnie

The safety is a hardened part . I doubt you can cut a groove in it . That would make it weak . Not a good idea . Other people have had good success with thick grease ! Silicone rubber would dry up & stick your safety .
