Ive gone through my Mauser Bolt Markings reference and couldnt find this one listed. I was thinking Polish, but the serial number doesnt look right for Poland. Any ideas?

Tom,
I believe it's Czechoslovak, where the crossed leter "z' was usually used to indicate "zbrojovka" by several companies, most commonly seen in rifles produced at Ceskoslovenska Zbrovoka Brno. I'll have to check further, but I seem to recall that the early Brno "z-in-a-circle" mark featured a crossed letter "Z", as in your pictures.
Regards,
John

John,I took a look at my matching numbered Brazilian Czech. Model 1908/34 and it had the circlle Z with a line trough it and the circled T on the bolt handle. I also looked at some of my early Czech Mausers and they have a circle Z that is slightly larger the the later circled Z. HTH. Ed
