i've never seen a yugo capture. are they the 24/47's?

It's a K98 that was captured or left behind in Yugoslavia when the Germans pulled out. The Yugoslavians rebuilt them, usually scrubbing the receiver markings off in the process. Neat rifles and usually in great condition. One belongs in every mauser collection.

i'll have to keep an eye out for one of those! are they around the same price as a russian capture?

General prices I have seen over the last few years have been in the $200-250 range for models in excellent condition. If you collect either K98's or Yugo mausers you will need one of these in your arms rack. I picked mine up over 15yrs ago via Simpsons Ltd. Paid $200 for it according to my records, but it has no import marks and is beautiful. Still... $200 was harder to come by back then then it is now...
