The best price I've seen since Dan's Ammo ran out of it is Sportmansguide:

It's on email special right now and remember you can use one of their $10 off coupons on it and if you are already a club member you'll save a little more.

Don't know how much you shoot your K-31s, and GP11 is great ammo, but at nearly $.50/round it wouldn't take too long to pay for some reloading equipment...

What would you recommend in a start up reloading set up? I'm clueless so any info would be great. B
Hard to say without knowing your shooting habits. Lots of information available down at the Reloading/Handloading forum at the bottom of the list.

If you shoot a lot and shoot a good number of calibers then you may want to consider a turret or progressive press. Shoot less or fewer calibers then a single stage press could work for you. I know people who shoot a lot and still use a single stage press. I don't have the patience for a single stage press although they are considerably cheaper in terms of your initial investment.

I had a hard time initially justifying in my mind how much I was spending on reloading equipment because I kept thinking how much loaded ammo I could be buying with that money. Not much later I realized that I made the right decision to begin reloading because it had cut my cost of shooting in half in just about all situations and even less than half in some cases.

Well for not much more you can get the Privi Partizan

I have seen GP 11 around but it's no longer cheap.... the shops that have it in Alaska are selling it for 75 cents per round!!!!!

Well for not too much more you can get the Privi Partizan 7.5 Swiss. New Manufacture and Boxer primed, with 175Gr FMJ. Reloadable!!!

I have avoided the temptation to buy more GP-11, even though I have hardly any left. I will invest in Prvi Partisan or other reloadable ammo first. The 7.5x55 is just too easy to reload since bullets are standard .308 and it's easy to find inexpensive dies for it.

Not to hijack the thread, but where is a good deal on Prvi Partisan?

The swiss GP11 was a good buy until now that the prices are much higher. I just went to stock up on some more and wideners just raised there prices so i'm not buying anymore GP11. I may get some Priv boxer primed stuff next. I laready have some with some new brass too. Its time to load some up.
