Was in Simpsons this afternoon as they were just photgraphing a flat mint bcd45 K98 they just took in. This thing had to be taken out of a crate by the GI who obtained it, even the bolt face was pristine showing no evidence of ever being fired. They had it priced at $2995. By the time I got home and checked their website it was already sold. Whoever bought it will be very happy. It's always fun to see what walks through their door and today because of this K98 was no exception.

I see a 'bcd45' K98 listed in Simpson's 'What's New' category for $2995 that's on HOLD......is this the rifle you're posting about? I don't see a 'bnz45' The rifle does look minty!

I would love that rifle, but alas its best I NOT get it. As I would sit on that one until the day I die, never once to consider trying to sell or upgrade from it.

Ya, it looks decent. Im sure those photos do it no justice. I'd say it was sold a little on the light side. Thats probably why it sold in 3 seconds..My bud got a mint one off g.b. with sling for 3400.00 It's flat new.
Bob and Brad are class acts. I finally got to meet them this year at sos... Im helping him with the trainer book and was finally able to see the rough draft !!!

I have that rifles' twin brother.....unissued, unfired....looked like it was lifted right from the rack. Phosphate metal, very late war. Same color wood and finish. In fact, my stock has "chatter" marks on the sides where it seems they were in a hurry to finish it. I surely didn't pay that price for it though. I bought it and a mint matching G33/40 in a package deal from an old gentleman on GunsAmerica for $650.00 shipped for both rifles. This was about 8 years ago.
