BCS DECLARES GERMANY WINNER OF WORLD WAR II ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After determining the Big-12 championship game participants, the BCS computers were put to work on other major contests and today the BCS declared Germany to be the winner of World War II.

"Germany put together an incredible number of victories beginning with the annexation of Austria and the Sudetenland and continuing on into conference play with defeats of Poland, France, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Belgium and the Netherlands. Their only losses came against the US and Russia; however considering their entire body of work--including an incredibly tough Strength of Schedule--our computers deemed them worthy of the #1 ranking."

Questioned about the #4 ranking of the United States the BCS commissioner stated "The US only had two major victories--Japan and Germany. The computer models, unlike humans, aren't influenced by head-to-head contests--they consider each contest to be only a single, equally-weighted event."

German Chancellor Adolph Hitler said "Yes, we lost to the US; but we defeated #2 ranked France in only 6 weeks." Herr Hitler has been criticized for seeking dramatic victories to earn 'style points' to enhance Germany's rankings. Hitler protested "Our contest with Poland was in doubt until the final day and the conditions in Norway were incredibly challenging and demanded the application of additional forces."

The French ranking has also come under scrutiny. The BCS commented " France had a single loss against Germany and following a preseason #1 ranking they only fell to #2."

Japan was ranked #3 with victories including Manchuria, Borneo and the Philippines.

Now I know why the Zero-U Sooners were ranked ahead of Texas, which beat them by 10m points

Three way tie in the Big 12 South, OU, Texas & Texas Tech all 11 & 1. Texas did beat Oklahoma but then got beat by Texas Tech who later got whipped by OU. No matter how you look at it someone (or more properly sometwo) was going to be unhappy. If you look at how they performed against common teams then Oklahoma was the correct choice.

Germany (Texas) declared winner of WW2 based upon victories in 1939-1942. :)

United States (OU) declared winner of WW2 based upon victories from 1942-1945. :)

Wow..did you see where OU set a new NCAA record by scoring 60 points in the last five games?

..and how about that win over Texas Tech of 65-21..isn't that the team who wiped up Texas?

...oh..and OSU in Stillwater of 61-41...isn't that the team who Texas barely squeaked by..

...last night's win of 61-21 over Mizzou..another highly ranked ball team...

Germany plays in a Weak conference. Remember they are in the same conference as Italy, Romania, Hungary and Bulgaria.

No problem! :)

Frankly, I'd be a little insulted if I were you. You have a good football team up there but they're treating Penn State's one point loss to the Hawkeyes as if it were a loss to Vasser.
Yeah I hear ya, no respect. It's the same reason Greene is not a serious contender for the Heisman. We DO have 4 losses this year, but for a combined total of a whopping 12 points. But a loss is a loss, no matter to who or by how much, as you guys in Happy Valley know well. Good luck in the Rose Bowl!
