We all know that double codes exist, but just how much work on each rifle did the two manufacturers do? I am using a well known double code as an example bcd/ar42. What exactly did Gustloff do in this rare codes production of the rifles? What exactly did Borsigwalde do in this rare codes production of the rifles? It is apparent using this code as an example that all the inspection proofs WaA26 were stamped by Borsigwalde! Does this fact then mean that Borsigwalde did the majority of the work on the rifles?

Any help in clarification of this is appreciated!

If the receiver has a small "1" on the right side it was made by Astrawerke and either marked bcd by them or Gustloff but everything after that was done by Borsigwalde...
