the bayonet is just a bit too small to fit over the muzzle?
it's a 1906 pioneer with coarse staggered toothing instead of the opposing of later bayonets, is it for 1898? and not a 1911?

Most of the Swiss sawbacks were intended for issue to troops with carbines or short rifles and therefore have a ring 1mm smaller than bayonets intended for the larger muzzle of long rifles like your G11. Try your bayonet on a K11 or K31.
What's an "1898"?

Don't really know your situation regarding over all value of your rifle but on my Mosins I just ream out the bayo a little..( very gently sand paper or small fine file til it fits)..

Ok, so I'm an idiot, I was reading the description ABOVE the picture instead of below, so yeah, for modified 96's or short/carbine rifles.
here I'm going I have a M1911 and a bayonet for a M1911.

Now I'm just kinda pissed I let the K11 get away (it went for $110)
