I was invited over to the neighbor of my brother-in-law the other day. The neighbor is the widow of recently deceased veteran. I was asked to look over some rifles (hunting), her husbands uniform and some other stuff.

This bayonet puzzles me, does any of you fellow forum members recognize it?

Some other edged weapons on the walls...

- Steyr-Mannlicher Model 1895 NCO bayonet, swivel is for an NCO Troddel (sword Knot).


- The pike head is a Medieval/Renaissance period Halberd

- Sword ?


- Sword bayonet is an Enfield Pattern 1856 Short Rifle bayonet, either British made or a German contract piece made for Export.

And here are the "slings" themselves!

Top - Mannlicher M.95, bottom - Mannlicher M.88. The slings.... er, troddels are Bulgarian, only they used leather slings... er, troddels.
