Now, this is going to sound stupid, but I'm looking down the barrel of an M72 B1 RPK kit I just got... Looking down the barrel it looks like the rifling is RAISED inside the barrel, rather then grooves. Either that, or the lands are really thin, and the grooves are really wide.

Is this a shot out barrel? Is that how RPK's were made?

EDIT: Upon further cleaning there's just almost no rifling left, how much rifling did RPK's have to begin with?
