As most of you are aware, sometime in 1941, Mauser dumped their remaining Banner receivers into the K98k assembly process. The only example I have been able to locate was an RC. Finally found all the needed period/factory correct parts to restore it. Everything is correctly waffenampted E/655. Got lucky and found a correct stock in walnut. Bore is very good, should make a good shooter.

My step father who was in the German army in '44, once I asked him what he remembered about his k-98, he said "It said Mauser written on the receiver. So he must have had an old banner.
