Today I was walking through a local gunshop because my first appointment for the day was a no-show (for once someone blowing me off might of made my day) and I can across a 1934 Tikka M27 with matching bolt (import marked) in pretty good shape. The gunshop is notorious for being way over prices with U.S. surplus but at the same time they could care less about them mosins and "cheap" guns. Anyway, I ended up getting the gun for $125 out the door.

The barrel number doesnt match and theres no numbering on the floor plate of the gun. Reciever is marked with upside down triangle with T, D under that, serial number under D, and F under serial number, and then the date closest to hex. SA stamped on side.

I will post pictures once I get home from work!!

I'll post a picture because its hard to sell if its a c or s but I think c

Could someone help me out with that one?

No matter what, you got a great Tikka m27 for cheap!!!...would love to see some pics to clarify things a bit and for others here to help you...

...The upside down Triangle on your barrel shank (not receiver, by the way...just the hex part is the receiver ) with a T is the Tikka arsenal symbol...interesting that it is both D and F marked (I believe these letter designations mean that the chamber was originally chambered for the F cartridge, and then subsequently re-chambered to accept the D-166 cartridge...but, I will defer to more experienced collectors)

...confused by what you mean about barrel number doesn't match though...pictures will help clarify that too!!...

Congrats on a great find!!!...I have a 1934 Tikka m27 too!!!...looking forward to pics of yours!!

It is a poorly stamped SA. There have been many like it that have popped up. Rest assured, SA.

Yes some of the SA marks make it look more like a CS since the lower part was not struck clearly or defined well. But it is Suomi Armie sorry don't have a Finnish keyboard so maybe one of the Finnish members can give you a true interpetration

The Bow and Arrow mark is Czarist mark 1891-1929 for Izhvesk before the 30's Stalin era triangle with arrow replaced it. the 1905 above it is the year of manufacture of the reciever. All Finn made Mosin Nagants use recycled pre 1918 reciever no matter what the barrel says. The Finn's never mfg recievers on their own. The Finn made 91/30's used Soviet 91/30 recievers
