Fairly new bidder who obviously wanted the pistol. Wartime production, photos indicate refinish, Small I A C import mark also indicative of pistols imported in the eighties of which I have several IAC marked. No special markings visible and nothing special indicated on auction———definitely not a $1000+ pistol.

I do not believe it is a WWII era pistol. Serial is much too high and does not have Waffenmt. Looks like a post war commercial Astra to me.

Not all war time production went to the Germans so not all would have their acceptance mark, I would like to see the Spanish date code on the pistol so it could be accurately dated. All in all it is a nice looking Astra ( according to listed photos) that sold for much more than normal market value.

I watched an auction yesterday that had a few of those pistols. They sold in the 8-900 dollar range. 20% commission on top of that.
