Years ago I bought a Charles Daily Liberty II single action in .45 Colt, made by ASM of Italy at a local gun shop for $275.00 new. I was just wondering how strong these revolvers are? It is a very well made firearm and very accurate, I have been shooting 250 grain RNFP lead with 8 grains of Unique. Thanks.

I had one in .357 Magnum. Wish I had not sold it. It was a very well made and the second most accurate SAA I have owned in the last 40 years or so. Strong, good metal, good finish and nicely finished. Had no problems with it at all.

The ASM SAA replicas were one of the best made Italian replicas; one of the few whose parts would RELIABLY interchange with second generation Colt parts. With some of the others, it was kinda hit or miss; you had to fit many of the parts. With the ASMs I worked with, you could count on Colt parts working with fitting only on the hands and bolts.
