I have all ways like this little carbines, and my LGS has one in stock. It's been a while since I seen one in the market, so I really do not know what they are going for nowadays.
It is an all matching 1891( not the engineer carbine). The crest is scrubbed, the rest of the markings are still there. The finish is about 80-85%. Nice bore. Made by DWM. The bad: missing the hand guard, and someone put a couple of sling swivel screws in the stock.
The price is $250.00 plus tax, and I have a source for the hand guard. What so you guys think? Thanks,

vic

Honestly I am not sure if it is a cut down rifle. It has the carbine nose-cap and it is stocked to the muzzle. How can I tell for sure? Thanks

Should be able to tell by the length of the rear sight. If it's about 2.75 inches long, it's a rifle.

Actually, I do remember noticing how short the sight was when I looked at it. It is definitely shorter than 2.75 inches. If I remember correctly, it was a flip-up sight.
