would a kerr no-bukle sling be correct for a pattern14???-if not what would most likely have been found on these guys-thanks all,scott

For a US M1917 rifle, yes. My original Pattern 14 has a standard British pattern web sling, black in color. The brass ends are marked H.G. & R. Ltd. over 1917.

iv'e seen those black web slings for sale,but didn't think they were legit-whats the story with those-i do have a nice original ww1 issue leather sling that might be correct-scott

Several British regiments used black slings. Someone will chime in with which ones. They are legitimate.
