Got this about a monthe ago its a Russian SKS Tula 1952,has the refurb "y" stmbol on the barrel shank,an B wht looks like a large lower case 'n' 82,on the rec'r above this same number there's a 'VL' stamped above this.Thanks..

The "VL" stamped above the Russian serial on the receiver is likely a "translation" of the gun's Cyrillic letter serial prefix. ("ВЛ82" transliterated to English is "VL82").
This was done on some of the older imports.
