It may be possible that the stripper clips would fit the Mauser C-96 Broomhandle since the cartridges are the same size but the Mauser load is weaker because the old pistols are not as strong.

Yes you can, but then you are stuck at only having 8 rounds instead of the full 10 that a C-96 magazine can carry instead. I seen a few German re-enactors at Newville use these strippers in a pinch. Then they top off the C-96 internal magazine with 2 loose rounds. But yes these can work for Broomhandle pistols with no problems.
