Anyone have or seen pictures of K98's in French service? Mine is a byf 44 with star proof, bayonet lug, and walnut stock with sling bar. It also has an unslotted and untapped stacking rod in place of the cleaning rod.
Citroen: I have seen a lot of them in Vietnam, with two tours of duty there, but I have never seen a pix of troops with them. There were many of them captured and the ARVN had some too, which they were glad to trade for cigarettes....There were also a lot of WW 1 German guns there which I assume were reparations from that conflict and issued to Colonial Troops....
I've seen some photos of French partisans with German weapons, and one of Legionaires carring a pile of mixed-nationality weapons in Algeria, but no regular troops with German weapons.
