We were doing a little house cleaning before some folks come over to eat. I saw what appeared to be a Makarov lanyard hanging in the laundry room. I asked my wife where it came from. She said it was with some little toy dog that the grand kids had. They were slinging the thing around so she hid it from them. I went to my stash of Russian holsters and stuff and this toy dog's leash was none other than a Makarov lanyard. It was an identical match. My guess is that there may have been many more lanyards made than needed, typical of Russian production planning, and some enterprising soul saw another use for them. Learn something new every day.
