Actually - I'd call your attitude sane and reasonable, cpw.
The State Bar has pushed (so far not mandatory, though it was proposed and will be again) "mandatory voluntary pro bono" legal services. I've never been able to quite figure out how something mandatory could be voluntary, but the leaders of our state bar are not always entirely rational...
I have invariably voted against that proposition, in either state bar-sponsored polls or the one time it was presented as a referendum, and if (when?) it comes, it won't affect me since I resigned when I retired, but - what dreck.
