I have purchased some ammo for my MN's and I am not familiar with the manufacturer. I've burned over a dozen photos trying to capture the markings, but since I suck as a photographer they are worthless. I have attached a pic on the entire cartridge and the inscriptions are (from 12 o'clock): star, IC, 53, 3. These are stamped a the 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock positions, edging directly on the primer. A full stripper clip is going for $2.99. There are also 7.62x54r rounds packages in waxed paper and tied with white string. There may be 20 rounds to a package, but I'm not sure. I understand this is the way they are packaged and the dealer has another case of them hiding out back.

Any ideas?

Bulgarian, just an earlier headstamp than shown here. http://7.62x54r.net/MosinID/MosinAmmo015.htm The "IC" is a partially stamped "10" which is the country code for Bulgaria.
Thank you, 7.62x54r (although "Mr. Flashy Pants" sounds cooler). And that would be the packaging. Is this ammo any good or am I better off just tossing it at the target? I also like the ballistics graphs.
