Sometimes I not "Mr. Obvious" so I dare ask...what was the extra 150.00 for?
Sometimes I not "Mr. Obvious" so I dare ask...what was the extra 150.00 for? Here are the pics of the rifle I picked up this morning. Had to pay more than for 1943 or 1944 Izhevsk, $950 plus tax, but the rifle was worth it: matching receiver with original matching bolt and buttplate.; floor plate has been replaced and new serial number was stamped next to old scratched number.
Extra $ was for year of production, same rule of paying extra applies to any collectible firearm either it is a Luger or MN 91/30, IMHO.Sometimes I not "Mr. Obvious" so I dare ask...what was the extra 150.00 for?
What is good for out-of-state collectors is that, while you cannot hold in your hands rifles you are buying, you are not required to pay tax...I'll call monday morning if a couple of guys here don't beat me to it...![]()
Mike,I have a restored 1942 ex PU sniper that I believe the serial number is AA2211 or something near that. I will have to take a look. I know another board member has another 42 ex PU sniper that is only 10 off from mine.
Mike
I did not ask, but anybody can call Roger and ask this question, not sure if he would answer...So how many do they have left?
Just curious. When I was there I notice serial numbers in the 400's on some of them. I have been told and heard 200 or so...I wont call, I asked him that question before...company secret. He did tell me the address of the warehouse in Kiev where he bought them at. Go figure.![]()
