I found these quotes from the article to be very telling -

“Gun ownership in this country is a privilege, not a right," Blair said.

“We do not arm ourselves in this country to protect ourselves from our fellow citizens. We rely on the rule of law, not the end of a gun, for our safety.” (also Blair)

The last one is spoken like someone that has armed security.

It's a Right, not a privilege, for Americans - so what's the difference? (sarcastic)

The difference is we stopped saying " by your leave Sir " in America quite some time ago for a privilege . Our rights in America were and are bought and paid for , if we become unwilling to keep up the payments now or in the future , we will be back to saying " by your leave ( insert preferred gender ) " .

Minor correction: our rights aren't bought and paid for. They are endowed by our Creator. They are granted by God Himself and merely recognized by the federal government. So the constitution doesn't grant us rights, it recognizes rights we already possess.

Y'all dont really have a constitution do ya?

They don’t really need a “constitution”
Our constitution does not grant us our rights but instead sheds light on our rights given to us by God........... the same rights we have here in this country are the same rights the entire world has.

The difference being the blood that has been spilt on our Great countries Soil, and abroad, by Our countries great hero’s and Patriots has secured for us a period of rest from tyranny both foreign and domestic...... that period of rest is fast coming to a close. we will see if we give up our rights that our forefathers so dearly paid for...... or if we renew that period of rest for our families and for generations to come..........

There is no doubt Turdeau is corrupt and it is an attempt to distract from the multiple scandals he and his government have been involved in. Hopefully the sheep that can't seem to see through his BS will wake up soon.

I don't believe firearms are a privilege in Canada at all....if they use British common law as a basis for their laws there is provision within it for civllian arms possession there.Typical politician trying to make out they are doing someone a favour by 'allowing' them something or other. If firearms are so evil why don't they get rid of their Government held weapons, fat chance of that ever happening.
