Pics are not to great but I think they show enough..am happy to take more if a specific area is needed

First is what I think is a M24 muzzle cover..The only one I'd seen before was posted here a month or so ago and had the serial# stamped along the top and no star marking..The seller actualy had 3 of these that he listed one after the other..by the 3rd he had identified them as M24...I was fortunate enough to win all 3..the other 2 have not arrived yet but both have the star marking and are in similiar condition

So Are these what I hope they are M24 covers?? Branko's fine book shows a similarly shaped one on page 105 and identifies it as an M1931 but its shown on the oposite side and without markings Hardware accessory

FWIW the Brazilian FN1922 has stars on most of the parts. The sling looks Spanish but would be a good generic sling for a lot of rifles.

Well I have been google-Fuing and Gelladen your SA connection led me to several pics of Venezuelan rifles with this type muzzle cover..I could not find one showing the star marking..here is a beautiful minty example with cover: http://www.flickr.com/photos/[email protected]/6476651555/in/set-72157624961033258/ ..Bad news is I dont have one of these and now have 3 hoods for them..good news is while searching for answers I actually stumbled upon a No doubt M24 hood ..complete with serial# as well as the Crylic "Z" or 3 mark..in my grief I overspent ; ) ..But I do feel better : )

The sling reminds me of Spanish as well but also of some SA slings..like Geladen says it is a pretty generic form..its buckle is convex and the stiching and rivet look original so with these identifiable features I hope to narrow it down..it sure closely resembles everthing from an FN49 to some SA Mausers

If anyone needs this hard to find muzzle cover and has an interesting Turk bayonet (pretty much anything other than a standard M35..you know the one) or well used matching Yugo M24 short or interesting number combo M24 short I'll take pics of the 2 I'm not keeping and maybe we can Horse trade + or -..I only bought the 3 because Yugos are a main focus for me..like to see them go to someone who needs one here
