An Austrian Landsturm Mauser made at Steyr

I've posted about this Austrian rifle's unit mark on several Gunboards forums so far, but no luck. The rifle is unit marked to "Lst B 91", which I believe is the Austrian Landsturm Battalion Nr. 91. (Also abbreviated as LstIBaon 91.) Does anyone have any information on this unit?

What a great rifle. I do not know anything about these rifles, were they made to fill a contract with the Mexican Govt., and were taken by the A.H. military for the war effort?

Austrian Landsturm, are they like the German Landsturm, only existing during time of War?
