I got caught with my pants down after the last ammo drought and it ain't happening again. Since the last election I made a point of stocking up about every other month till it started going up again in Feb.

Ditto here, I've been pretty good at setting aside during the fat years but - don't it always seem to go that you don't know what you DON'T got until it's gone? Or something like that. ;-)

In plain English, don't wait until the crunch to determine whether there may an empty shelf or two in your otherwise well-stocked larder!

AKA, hindsight is 20/20.

Posted this in another thread already, but I think worse it yet to come:

If you think its bad now, just wait till the month before the election. An even bigger panic after a Biden win is very likely and would mean ammo being unobtainium for years. One of his platform planks is banning online ammo sales as well. Trump's doing his best to rile up the Dems to the point now that even the Senate majority is at risk so think of Sandyhook 2013 combined with Obama 2008 AFTER we already are at a low supply point due to the COVID panic.

I planned on stacking through the summer before the election season and I had to start a little early because covid hit. People were complaining about .223, .308, 9mm etc being 3-4 cents a round higher back in the spring and thought "oh I'll wait for it to come back down" when there was basically a 0% chance of that happening due to it being an election year. I might not have finalized my stash at the lowest price possible, but I would bet ammo is not coming back down any time soon and I don't regret any purchases I made this year. If Biden wins and the Dems take the Senate it will never come back down.

TargetSportsUSA.com
AmmoMan.com

These six places I have used for several years for cheap prices. Target Sports has free shipping on guns & ammo if bought in bulk.
I have never been unable to find ammo for any of my firearms!

Uh.....that's currently EVERY firearm.
And FWIW, I do have lots of Supersonic BLK, but I just built a pistol that I zeroed for Subs

jonny if I have offended you please accept my apology. But I respectfully disagree with you as to "EVERY" firearm being difficult to find ammo for, IF that is what you are saying. I always buy my ammo in bulk and I have never been unable to get whatever I wanted using the following search engines:

gunbot.net
ammograb.com
wikiarms.com
gunengine.com
TargetSportsUSA.com (good prices, free shipping on ALL bulk orders)

I hope this will help.

Any of those get you 300 BLK Subsonic? I have looked on every site I could find and everything (other than reloaders who will take a back order) is Out-Of-Stock.
I currently have my little brother scouring LGSs in his part of Texas for anything from single boxes to a case.
Up until 2 or 3 weeks ago, I could still find Supersonic, and actually bought 400 rounds. I challenge you to find any Subsonic...and tell me first!

And not offended in the least, just think you're about 3 weeks behind the times on finding ammo.

If the democrats get in office with their "ammo tax", even todays high prices might turn out to be low?

I like to frequent targetsports.com for ammo lately. They offer free shipping if you are buying ammo by the case. I used to buy ammo from sgammo, but lately the prices they are wanting for it is most times more than I can get it elsewhere.

I use targetsportsusa.com also. I have ordered ammo from SGammo in the past but I have found the same ammo at a cheaper price and of course no shipping charge as I always buy bulk.

I've been using most of the sites listed for at least a decade buying .45ACP, .38/.357, .22 rimfire, 7.62x39, .30-30, .270 and 6.5x55 Swedish. I'm not sure what you mean by "3 weeks behind the times on finding ammo"!

I haven't looked for that cartridge and haven't a clue as to where to find them but I wish you luck in your search.
Any idea why they are so difficult to locate?
