Interesting old movie from Vladivostok, when American soldiers were stationed in Siberia. Some of the US soldiers were shipped in from the Philippines, and makes me wonder if these American soldiers were issued Krag rifles ?

American soldiers were also sent to Arkhangelsk in 1918, and were due to large stock of local Mosin-Nagant and ammo, issued these Russian rifles.

No, Both the Vladivostock and Archangel/Murmansk expeditions were equipped with NEW and Remington Mosins present at both Points, which they were to protect from the Reds. At Vladivostock, 70?,000 MNs from Remington were for the Czech Legion, in its attempt to Leave Russia. ( they succeeded). But the Vladivostock Mosins were eventually taken over by the Japanese, and once back in Japan, converted to single shot Trainers. The Northern ( Murmansk) rifles were left to the Reds ( not even the sense to destroy them, they ( the US force ) were ( along with the British)in a hurry to evacuate.
