Got my C&R license a couple week ago and used it to by a Mosin handgun.

Just got it. Made by Tula, in 1933! I got it for $115. It looks great and it is ... 79 years old.

Are you kidding me?

Awesome.

Short bubba rifle? ;)

Just trying to keep the dude out of prison.

Short-barreled rifle (SBR) is a legal designation in the United States, referring to a shoulder-fired, rifled firearm with a barrel length of less than 16 inches (40.6 cm) or overall length of less than 26 inches (66.0 cm). In the United States, an SBR is an item regulated by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE) as an NFA firearm. In the absence of local laws prohibiting ownership, American civilians may own an SBR provided it is registered with the BATFE, and a $200 tax is paid prior to taking possession of or creating the firearm.

I picked up a nice nagant revolver with MO markings at a show last week. $110 out the door. What is a C&R and why have one. Oh I get it you like being inspected! Oh why bother! Bill

So, if you are an 01 or buy through an 01FFL what makes you feel free of possible 'inspection'? Or do you ONLY buy antiques? Records are records, all available to the BATFE. Devil's advocate kind of thing. ed
