I have no idea based upon your pic, but I do know there are at least two different guys making reproductions in the U.S. and Italy, complete with fake Waffenamt's. They usually sell them on eBay.

I'd be cautious unless I absolutely knew the provenance, of course unless you are knowingly buying a reproduction piece and paying a resulting low price.

Perhaps others can be more helpful here....

Any ZF41 "adaptor" is bad, the only good ZF41 rail is the one that's attached to the rear sight and is one piece, nothing welded on or takes the place of the sight bed.

Welcome Palex. Good to have you. Those "adapters" are fantasy items. Sadly, one was pictured in Backbone of he Wehrmacht, giving it "credibility" for some.

Exactly. The 'BBOTW' series attempted to authenticate such garbage for the benefit of the author, his expert and other fraudsters who knew better but stood to benefit. A perfect example of why some experienced collectors who vetted the drafts chose conscience and their reputation over participation.

Yes, I know of one depicted in BOTW that was dumped on a doctor friend of mine. I distinctly remember the author walking three of them at a show. Two dou 44 "Zf.41s" and a dot 44 "Zf.41". He avoided me when he saw I saw. Where were all these things coming from?

I guess this adapter isn't really a fake or a reproduction because there isn't an original it was copied from. I think this is simply a fantasy with a line of BS following it.

Years ago we were awash in those little Zf.41 scopes and mounts, pretty cheap, with the cans, unissued. That's because the Zf.41 program was halted by order in 1943 leaving these with no rifles to go on. That also left alot of these little long eye relief scopes in the postwar US milsurp market with no rifles to go on and no real application for them. Enter all manner of Bubba fantasies, my favorite being an artillery P.08 vandalized to take this scope. Of course, also enter the "Zf.41 adapter"
