I'll have to look through some slides I have but I think I have some pictures of them when I was in base camp. They built a ramp for them not far from our HQ. Very fast but also very loud when running.

Regards

One of my classmates from Ordnance Officer Basic was involved with those things. He said they were a true PTA to keep running.

They were loud....but if you were a VC in the Plain of Reeds and saw one coming toward you...... with mini gun blazing...one of the ACV's at least had one... it must have caused quite a come to Jesus moment.

Here attached is a picture of what happened when a serious explosive trap was set for one of the three ACV's in 1970.

The things were built like aircraft - very light structure. No resistance to battle damage, especially explosives.
