December 7th, 67 years since the attack on Pearl Harbor, not many of the veterans of WW2 left. Bless them all! Many of the weapons that we collect are the only survivors left from that conflict.

I have been blessed and cursed by this day. I am celebrating my birthday today and on this very same date I lost four relatives at Pearl. The latter is more important to me than the former.

Will we change that to a new day with 9/11?

Thanks for Remembering!

I was utterly shocked that this has not even been mentioned on many other boards that I frequent! How soon we forget and that dooms us to make the same mistakes over I fear. These kids today hardly know anything about it and they will be the ones who are the leaders in the future. This is furthered by the news media today which will maybe show an aging vet and do a minute piece on it. They should be ashamed of themselves in both cases! I wonder if our president elect will even think about or mention it?

Only thing I can think of to say and it only covers a small portion of what we owe our vets is Thank You from the bottom of my heart and may God Bless you all living and dead! Bill

Front page article in our local newspaper today about Pearl Harbor. Wisconsin has a special automobile license plate program and one of the specialty plates is for Pearl Harbor Survivors. Within the article it mentioned that there are now only 10 of those specialty plates in the entire state. Someone who was 18 at Pearl is now 85. That really drove home the point regarding how fast we are losing our veterans...
