he thought it was some kind of trial rifle as well. Sorry didn;t have a camera handy. It is a round reciever Izzy only difference to a 91/30 was the front band with the lug on it.

Ok. Round receiver definitely narrows things down.

Does not really matter. It is still same suspects: fantasy, Simonov Prototype, something Finn, maybe something from Spanish Civil War.

My personal favorites are fantasy and something Finn.

it also has the same dark color to it and the tula star mark on the right side of the stock. Wonder if it is the real deal or humped. He is asking much more then a regular 91/30 since he has an idea that it is special.

So long as the serial numbers start with a '0' and they match, go for it. How much more than a regular 91/30?

1000 bucks is what he is asking, serial number does start with a 0. It is all matching
