i was just wondering what the diameter of a pu scope is? i seem to remember reading something about it being 30mm and it got me thinking. the last 91/30 sniper i looked at (sog repro) had rings that would come completely apart like modern rings. so if the diameter is 30mm then couldsomebody maybe use a more modern 30mm scope in those same rings? that is of course if the new scope clears everything ok (bolt handle ,etc.) just kinda rolling the idea around a little now but if it looks doable i may just give it a shot.
