When were the solid band springs discontinued to be used? Did all earlier ones have the solid type, 1930s?

I am sorry I missed your question. Did you mean milled vs stamped barrel springs (as all of the springs are solid)?

One thing to note regarding the band springs - They were replaced as needed by Finland, Russia and all other countries who maintained these rifles. You can find older rifles with newer band springs, or a mix of milled and stamped. I recently had a 1941 Finned M91/30 with a broken rear band spring (milled), I replaced it with a later stamped version and called it good.
