Corrosive. Treat it all as if it was, even non-corrosive. My cleaning process is the same regardless of the ammunition and I've not had trouble. I've had bores eaten by "non-corrosive" ammunition. I keep a little USGI squeeze bottle of ballistol in my Otis kit and when I can, after I shoot I pull a wet ballistol patch or two through my bores right after shooting, while the bores are still hot. I clean again when I get home. I check the bore and pull a patch through on day 2 and check on day 3. I live in a humid environment. My shooter bores are mint, mirrors, so they clean easier. A pitted bore, even micro pitted, is like eating with cavities in teeth.

The few times I've been out I've taken a garden sprayer out with me.After shooting I insert the nozzle (plastic tip and tubed) in the chamber and run water down the bore.I put my finger in the muzzle for a few seconds then I turn the rifle upside down and repeat.Next I run WD-40 down the pipe. Finally the patches and then normal cleaning with bore brushes and patches. Is this a good
procedure?

dont forget the bolt face. and even with the new powders ill bank on it that the primers are corrosive. apperently they work better in colder temps. just what i heard.
yea i use soapy water with some ammonia, the just j&b bore cleaner now and then. wd is fine. also corrision X.

+1 on the bolt face. I'll even tear down the bolt and flush the inside and the firing pin separately. I've found that a large gauge syringe filled with good old water does a great job isolating the water to the chamber and bore, with no spilling onto wood or uninvolved metal.

Personally, I've found it more efficient to flush out the salts rather than attempt to neutralize them in place with ammonia or specialized products.

Kindly also oil patch around the muzzle , those corrosive salts will mushroom in the gases around the muzzle and deposit salt deposits on front sights and muzzle are.

I follow Poots cleaning method entirely. I find it "Pootacular".
