I was told that this is German ww2 ammo its copper washed steel cases is it??Also instead of shooting it should I sell it to some one who collects it.

Yes WW2 German, not that rare but some do collect it. JH

Boxes are marked 'in Ladenstreifen', & sometimes the strippers inside have a value approaching that of the ammo, too.

Its s.S. which makes it 198gr heavy ball ammo. AZ is right on that the i.l. means it in stripper clips.

s.S = schwere Spitzen = heavy bullet, which is the 198 Gr. bullet weight.
